WASHINGTON, D.C. – A member of the Crow Tribe and World War II veteran will be a special guest at the President’s State of the Union address on Tuesday.Charles DeCrane, 92, was invited by Representative Steve Daines.
“More than 2500 Montana tribal members are veterans, and unfortunately, they have not always received the recognition and thanks they deserve,”
Daines said. “It’s an honor to have Charles joining me for the State of the Union, and as the son of a U.S. Marine, it’s a privilege to serve all of Montana\’s veterans and work for them every day.”
DeCrane will watch President Obama\’s address from the House of Representatives gallery. This won’t be DeCrane’s first time in Washington D.C. He was one of 84 veterans on the Big Sky Honor Flight in September.
